Q: I am having trouble with the online application. Who do I contact?

A: The Beatrice Smith Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund is managed by a member of the Board of Directors. You may contact us at bslewismemorialscholarshipfund@gmail.com. Please allow a 24-48 hour turnaround time for a response.
Q: When will the application be available?

A: Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Q: When is the deadline for submitting applications?

A: Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Q: I missed the deadline. Can I still apply?

A: Due to the large number of applicants, no applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Q: Is there a minimum SAT or ACT score requirement?

A: Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the SAT and ACT scores will not be required for the completion of this application.

Q: Is there a minimum grade point average requirement?

A: Yes. All applicants must have and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average or 80 on a 4.0 scale.
Q: Is this scholarship for applicants living in the Georgia only?

A: Yes, but you must attend high school in the following counties listed:
Q: If I am awarded a Beatrice Smith Lewis Memorial Scholarship, how do I receive my scholarship funds?

A: You will be contacted by the Beatrice Smith Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund with scholarship award details.
Q: When are the winners notified? Are all applicants notified?

A: Each applicant, including awardees will be notified by email of the committee’s decision.
Q: Can I apply if I attend a private school or home school?

A: No. Every applicant must attend a public, K-12 school; according to the qualified counties listed.
